This aquamarine eri silk ikat stole has a seven hill pattern in peacock blue, ink blue, white and crimson. The length has an aquamarine selvedge and both ends are embellished with ink blue tassels.
‘Chitiki’ in weavers parlance means a dot. Ikat weaving involves a fast disappearing, painstaking, and laborious process of graphing a design, to marking on the yarn, tying and untying yarn, and dyeing each color separately. Once this process is complete, it means the chitikis are complete and the weaving of the design commences, while ensuring the chitikis in the design are intact.
Enjoy its beauty as a piece of art.
