This cobalt blue eri silk ikat stole has a seven hills pattern in white, ink blue, pink and dark blue. A crimson selvedge runs along the length. Both ends have tassels in cobalt blue.
‘Chitiki’ in weavers parlance means a dot. Ikat weaving involves a fast disappearing, painstaking, and laborious process of graphing a design, to marking on the yarn, tying and untying yarn, and dyeing each color separately. Once this process is complete, it means the chitikis are complete and the weaving of the design commences, while ensuring the chitikis in the design are intact.
Enjoy its beauty as a piece of art.
