This pastel pink eri silk ikat stole has pretty ikat flower pattern in rouge pink and raw sienna. It has a pastel pink selvedge along the length. Tassels on both ends are in a mix of cream, burnt sienna with spots of pastel pink.
‘Chitiki’ in weavers parlance means a dot. Ikat weaving involves a fast disappearing, painstaking, and laborious process of graphing a design, to marking on the yarn, tying and untying yarn, and dyeing each color separately. Once this process is complete, it means the chitikis are complete and the weaving of the design commences, while ensuring the chitikis in the design are intact.
Enjoy its beauty as a piece of art.
