Our Eri silk yarn is sourced from Northeast India. Most of our fabrics are handwoven by master weavers in Assam, West Bengal and Telangana, some pieces are hand-dyed or hand-painted in Andhra Pradesh, and our garments are finished in Bangalore. Every product page traces its own path under “Garment Journey”.

Yes. Our Eri is Silk Mark certified. We avoid hazardous chemicals in processing, and our yarn is hand-dyed in small batches with natural or azo-free dyes.

Ereena has been showcased at Première Vision Paris (Maison d'Exceptions, 2023), exhibited at the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence as part of Sustainable Thinking, selected by LVMH for its internal design library (2019), and featured at Lakmé Fashion Week (2019) and the International Folk Art Market, Santa Fe (2018 to 2020).

Most are. Three in four of our pieces are crafted from handwoven fabric, woven by master weavers in Assam, West Bengal and Telangana. Others are knit or crocheted. Every product page states how that piece is made.

Handwoven silk takes time and many skilled hands. Our Majuli Co-Ord, for example, is crafted by 9 skilled hands, with 8.5 days of yarn and loom preparation and 35.6 hours of weaving and stitching. Each product page shows the hands and hours behind that piece.

Yes. We ship across India, with complimentary standard shipping on all domestic orders.

Yes, we ship internationally. Shipping charges are calculated based on the destination and weight of your order and will be shown at checkout.
Any applicable import duties, customs charges or local taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.

Orders within India typically arrive within 5–7 working days from the date of order. International orders typically arrive within 10–14 working days.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may occasionally be affected by courier, customs or other circumstances beyond our control.

Once your order has been assigned to a delivery partner, you will receive an email and WhatsApp update with your tracking details. You can then track your order. 

Shipping within India is free of charge. International shipping charges are calculated based on the weight of the final order.

Our courier partner may make additional delivery attempts depending on service availability. To help ensure a smooth delivery, please make sure the address and contact details provided with your order are complete and accurate. If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete address, repeated unsuccessful delivery attempts or refusal to accept the shipment, additional shipping charges may apply for re-dispatch.

Every Ereena piece undergoes quality checks before dispatch. Natural variations in colour, weave and texture are inherent to hand-dyed and handwoven textiles and contribute to the individual character of each piece. These are not considered manufacturing defects.

If your purchase isn't quite right, you may request a return within 5 days of receiving your order. Eligible full-price products may be returned for Ereena store credit, valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

To be eligible for return, the product must be:
-Unused, unworn, unwashed and unaltered, with no signs of wear, damage, stains, soiling or odour, including perfume, deodorant or detergent.
-Returned with all original tags and brand labels.
-Returned in its original packaging and in the same condition in which it was received.

All returns undergo a quality inspection before being accepted. Ereena reserves the right to decline a return if the product shows any indication of having been worn, used, washed, altered or damaged, or otherwise does not meet the return conditions above. If a return is not accepted following inspection, the product may be sent back to the customer, with the shipping cost borne by the customer.

Sale, discounted, customised and made-to-order pieces are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.

Please get in touch with us within 5 days of receiving your order. After your return request is approved, we will arrange a return pickup and share the relevant details.

We do not offer monetary refunds for returns. Store credit for the value of the returned product will be issued after the item has been received, inspected and approved, and will remain valid for 6 months. Any return pickup cost will be deducted from the store credit amount.

Ereena does not currently offer direct exchanges for size, colour or style. If you require a different size or product, please return the original item for store credit and place a new order. We recommend checking our size guide before placing your order.

In the unlikely event that you receive a damaged, defective or incorrect product, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery, with your order details and photographs of the product.

Once verified, we will arrange a replacement where possible or offer a full refund to your original method of payment. Return pickup in these instances will be complimentary.

We do not currently process direct exchanges. If you need a different size, colour or style, you may return an eligible full-price product for store credit and place a new order, subject to availability.

Orders may be cancelled at any time before dispatch by contacting our customer care team. As we process orders promptly, please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.

Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled and will be subject to our standard returns policy

No, we currently do not offer Cash on Delivery. All orders must be paid for online at the time of purchase.

Dry cleaning is recommended to best preserve the dimensions, colour and finish of your Ereena piece. Eri is naturally durable, relatively easy to care for and, unlike many silks, can be gently washed in cool water with a very mild soap. However, as soap formulations and water quality can vary, we recommend following the product-specific care instructions provided.

Store your Eri silk garments clean and completely dry in a dust-free environment, away from direct sunlight and excess moisture. This will help preserve the fabric and maintain its quality over time.

Eri silk is one of India’s most distinctive non-mulberry silks. It is a natural silk native to the Northeast of India. Eri silk is produced by the domesticated silkworm Samia ricini, which feeds primarily on drought-resistant, rain-fed castor plants. The Eri silkworm spins an open-ended/valved cocoon, through which the moth can emerge naturally. Unlike conventional silk, where cocoons are boiled with the silkworm inside to extract and reel the silk as a continuous filament, Eri cocoons are not boiled with the silkworm inside. Yes. Eri silk is naturally breathable, making it comfortable to wear throughout the day and across different seasons. Eri's porous structure allows air to move through the fibre, creating a light and comfortable sensation against the skin. Yes. Our Eri fabrics have been independently tested by SGS India to the AATCC 183 standard and rated from UPF 28 to UPF 50+, which is very good to excellent protection from the sun. The level of protection varies with the weave and weight of each fabric.

Eri silk is a natural silk fibre. The Eri silkworm feeds on drought-resistant castor plants that require little water for sustenance and are naturally resistant to pests. The silk is spun from open-ended, empty cocoons that do not contain the silkworm during silk extraction. Its production supports farming, rearing, weaving and artisan communities across the Northeast of India, and beyond. Together, these qualities make Eri silk a natural choice for a more considered approach to luxury.
