Fine Eri silk yarn is ethically sourced from North East India. In a rural district in Assam, it is hand-dyed using traditional plant- and mineral-based extracts—including indigo, madder root, turmeric, and iron-based blacks—before being handwoven in a twill structure, while creating a nuanced checkered interplay of color.

Raw, open fringed edges frame the textile, highlighting the depth of hue and the refined texture of the yarn.

Eri is a durable, versatile and enduring silk. With just a little care, it will last beautifully for years to come.

• Dry clean. Gentle professional cleaning. Eco dry cleaning recommended, if available.
• Avoid harsh chemicals. Keep away from perfumes, deodorants, cosmetics, bleach, stain removers and other chemicals that may damage the silk.
• Air gently after wear. Allow the garment to air away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Steam gently. Use a steamer or steam iron on low heat. Avoid prolonged contact with the fabric and do not use high heat.
• If damp, dry naturally. Allow the garment to dry in a well-ventilated space. Do not wring, twist or rub the fabric.
• Store with care. Store clean and completely dry, preferably folded loosely in a breathable fabric cover.
